Feeding Stars to Cats

Joining that nail polish comm on lj was a mistake, BECAUSE IT HAS LED ME TO MORE POLISHES I MUST HAVE. SOBS SOBS. Like these China Glaze ones from their 2010 Halloween line.  These swatches look amazing, yes?? From left to right in the pic is Its Alive!, Mummy May I?, Zombie Zest, and Ick-A-Bod-Y.

A manicure I did last night, but I’m about to take it off since I botched it up lol. Using China Glaze’s Celtic Sun (a yellow neon) and In The Lime Light (a green neon). I screwed up with the stickers I used and ended up with raggedy lines and little patches of pulled up color. I’M TOO MUCH OF A PERFECTIONIST. But I thought I’d share this anyway.

Quick note about CG’s neon colors! It takes many coats to get the color completely opaque since the polish is streaky. I ended up doing 4 coats of yellow (although I think one more coat would have been better) and 3 coats of green. The colors dried very flat/matte.  Despite my complaints I really like these colors. I’ll be trying these out again, as well as the other neons I bought. But next time I’ll be putting a white base coat!

EDIT. lmao I just noticed this pic is focused more on the bottle than the nails. WHATEVER. Next time I’ll take a better one.
