So I fixed up the neon rainbow manicure I started last night, and now its perfect. It is suitably blinding and bright to me lol.
Polishes used:
The Urban Decay polishes and Purple Panic nails took 2 coats each, while the other two from CG I had to use 5 coats due to unevenness (these two also have a base coat of white underneath).
Really loving this orange polish, btw. Though I guess I show my appreciation in odd tweets:

OPI has recently come out with a Spiderman Collection. One of the colors is called Just Spotted The Lizard.
This color is an uncanny resemblance to Chanel Peridot
Here is a side my side comparison of the two by ThePolishAholic
This is the best dupe ever! I totally recommend you all pick this up if you are interested in this color :)

HSN is pretty much awesome when it comes to the clearance department and this is why:
Ok, so a single bottle of Deborah Lippmann goes for $16-$18, and the set of two goes for a slightly discounted price of $34, right? Well you’re getting TWO singles for a smidgen over half the price of one/69% off a set of two! WOW!
Can I also point out that shipping is DIRT CHEAP at only $3.95? Unfortunately the two sets pictured above are the only sets that are currently offered at this price but still… it’s awesome!

Yesterday I couldn’t figure out what sort of nail polish to put on, and taykash said “multiple!!” and that’s what I did. So here’s a gradient manicure of blues and blue-greens! Colors used:
I like how this manicure turned out!
SWATCHES: MILANI SPRING/SUMMER 2012 COLORS
From left to right: Juno, Orchidia, Mint Candy, Beach Front, Silver Stilettos, and Sail Away
Who says you have to burn a hole in your wallet in order to paint your nails with gorgeous colors? I was recently sent the new spring/summer 2012 Milani nail lacquer shades for review, and wow, I am speechless. The formula, the color, the coverage - ah, I won’t get ahead of myself. Let’s see some swatches now, shall we?
Juno is an innocent, creamy, pastel pink. I used four coats for full coverage, but even so, it dried quickly. This would be such a great shade for a bride to wear to her wedding. I love how clean and delicate it looks.
Here is have three coats of Orchidia, a fresh, spring purple cream polish laced with a silver shimmer. The first coat is almost jelly-like, and after two more coats, it built up nicely. I’m thinking about trying out this shade for a jelly sandwich manicure later on. See the shine? That’s all Milani right there, no top coat at all.
While I was painting my nails with Mint Candy, a lovely shade of turquoise, I kept calling it “candy apple” in my head. Now I am so convinced that a mint candy apple is, in fact, what I want to eat (now, what would that taste like?). I am a sucker for any shades of blues or greens of nail polish, so of course, this is one of my favorites in this collection. The formula and coverage for Mint Candy is amazing - what you see above is ONE coat. I always like to put two to three coats of nail polish on, but had to stop myself on this one since there was no need for another. It is so easy to work with Milani’s nail lacquer formula. Love it!
And here, I have two coats of Beach Front, a frosty and shimmering sky-blue polish. You know what I really like about this collection so far? The names. I know the names do not affect the colors, but reading them, and painting my nails with these colors really make me look forward to this upcoming summer. I can’t wait to go sit on a beach and admire the colorful scenery.
This is two coats of Silver Stilettos. It goes on glossy and dries with a matte texture. For a glossy finish, apply a top coat. To me, this is a bit much to wear on long nails, but I would love to have a full manicure with this color when I decide to trim down my nails - very chic!
And last, but not least, say hello to Sail Away. I’m usually not a fan of metallic colors, but this color is gorgeous! Here I have just one coat of Sail Away, and again, no top coat. Look at that glossy finish!
Overall, I am so impressed with these colors! And to answer the question I asked at the beginning, no one should, you really don’t need to shell out big bucks to get gorgeous colors. Each polish mentioned here retails for $4.49. You can purchase them from the Milani website or you can find them at your local CVS, Target, or Walgreens.

Swatches of Milani’s Fresh Teal from the Milani Neons line. Top pic was taken in the shade, and bottom pic in direct sunlight (and somehow a stray cat hair ended upon my index finger lol). 2 coats of polish per nail, although one coat was nearly opaque enough that a second coat is not needed if you paint your nails in thick coats.
You’ll probably notice that the bottle color and the nail color are completely different. That’s because the bottle is not clear and all and has a teal-colored coating on it.
Anyway, the actual color of this is really hard to capture on camera. It looks very blue (very Robin’s Egg blue?) in these pics, but it actually has more green in it. The polish color is more like the bottle’s color, but slightly blue toned. Gorgeous teal color though, I’m very pleased by it.
Unlike the China Glaze neons I swatched before—which dried matte—this one dried shiny enough where a topcoat isn’t needed. The polish formula really impressed me; a great consistency and easy to apply. And for $3-4 per bottle I think I might have to buy more Milani polishes in the future.
