While setting up for photos after the Olympic All-Around medal ceremony, USA’s Danell Leyva (bronze) and Japan’s Kohei Uchimura (gold) hold up their medals to the cameras. Danell drapes his arm over Kohei’s shoulder as they pose for the photographers. Germany’s Marcel Nguyen (silver) attempts to follow suit before holding up his medal; however, confusion ensues as he attempts to do this while putting an arm around Uchimura and dealing with his flowers at the same time. All three medalists share a laugh, put the flowers down, and lean in for a picture while holding their Olympic medals up proudly.

Some of the amazing Team USA women’s performances during the London Olympics — they earned 28 of the USA’s 44 gold medals in London. If the American women were their own country, they would be third in the medal count.

At the Beijing Olympics, the morning of the preliminary heat, Felix Sanchez got the news that his grandma had died.  He ran, but ended up doing horribly.  He cried the whole day.  He vowed that he would win a medal for her before he retired.  And today in London, he won the gold.  That picture on the ground is of himself and his grandma.
